Tobias Arndt is the General Manager of GAMI
He completed his industrial engineering studies at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) with a diploma in 2012. During that time, he also received his Master of Science at the Tsinghua University in Beijing. He has been working as research associate and project manager at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) for more than four years. Mr. Arndt conducted several research and consulting projects with industry related to production, logistics, and supply chain optimization. In his PhD thesis, he focused on quality control strategies in global manufacturing networks. For the upcoming years, Mr. Arndt and his team aim for the establishment of fruitful Sino-German collaborations between industry and research in the field of smart manufacturing.
Mr. Yang Shun
Director of KIT China Branch
Yang Shun is the Director of KIT China Branch and GAMI senior consultant, He studied at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and the first Chinese Phd.Candidate in WBK Institute of Production Science. With overseas and domestic working experiences of many years in the fields of supply chain management, production management and project management, he gained extensive knowledge. He provided consulting services and professional trainings to several Fortune 500 companies, e.g. Volkswagen, Bosch, Siemens, Bosch and Siemens Home appliances, etc. Also has established an excellent reputation and won many customers’ trust and praise for the professional knowledge .

Prof. Gisela Lanza
Head of wbk、Director of GAMI
Prof. Gisela Lanza (Chair of Global Production Engineering and Quality) received her PhD on production ramp-up management and is now focusing in particular on global manufacturing and global production networks. She is the head of the wbk Institute of Production Science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the director of the Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute (GAMI).
Prof. Gisela Lanza has published several papers in highly ranked international journals and won the CIRP best-paper award in 2003. She is not only reputed as an outstanding scientist in the academic community, but also well-known for her practical experience in Global Value Added Networks or Ramp-up management. In the last years, she has run several consultancy projects with companies like Bombardier Transportation, Daimler AG, MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH or Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH.
